Got it stamped

Got my passport stamped and subsequently processed I-551.
I wonder how long it takes for them to issue the card. Outside the INS Sacramento office, there was a local news crew reporting the DHS taking over INS and shot us and interviewed some standing in the line at 7am.

I had to take with me 2 photos, Passport and I-94. They didn't ask for my EAD card but I gave it to the officer who returned my passport after stamping.

wonder when we stop asking for more

at least you are approved and your passport is stamped. enjoy that first before worrying about the plastic card. the most crucial and painful waiting period is over unlike thousands of us still waiting and some in serious trouble because of the INS delays and the bad macro economic environment.
