Got it, but...

Finally my 485 was approved 3 months after second FP. My wife still did not get FP notice. Am I happy ? Yyyyeah, but this whole process left some bad taste in my mouth. Now atleast I can talk to 2003 and 2004 applicant friends with GCs in their wallets, with some dignity. I don't have to put up with their freaking suggestions as to how to get GC faster.

Overall I am relieved, God bless you all.

Congrats ! Just enjoy the moment of happiness and hope for the same success for your spouse. At least, your half free...now...

I understand EXACTLY how you feel (see my sig). I will forever describe this process as arduous and unjust. The approved 2003, 2004 filers have it way to easy.

Congrats to a fellow 2002 filer!

Congrats!!

Thank you my friends !

I am just enjoying the moment. This forum and you had been my only company during the long wait.

I got the approval emails on Friday.

If I choose not get passport stamped, would I receive card directly in the mail ?

Please answer.

Congrats...

I think you have to go the local office to give your index finger print. If I am not mistaken that is what initiates the process for a plastic card. Folks whose cases are interviewed usually do it at the interview time otherwise you have to go there with the approval notice. I may be wrong here, but this is what I gathered from some other posts.

Agree with WaitinginQ (go to stamping).
As for 2003 /04 filers giving advise -- I agree with you GC_Aspirant_11.

yes... though the approval notices say ADIT style photos....you need to take front facing photos.
