Mine is WAC-03-136, RD Mar 25 & ND Mar 27. Current EAD expired on July 9th. After seeing many getting approved around my wac no. I pateintly waited to get approval, but no luck.

Today when I went to SFO to get iEAD, that officer was asking -- why did your lawyer apply so early for renewal in March itself? I said b'coz of the 90 day limit. Her calculation was -- 90 days means 3 months, from July 3 months backwards is -- July, June, May. It seems I was supposed to apply in MAY?! Then I reminded her it was July 9th. Then she realized and was telling even in that case it should be April. She was telling that "APPLYING FOR EAD RENEWAL TOO EARLY (in my case it was just 15 days earlier than 90 day limit) IS DEFEATING THE WHOLE PURPOSE". So she gave me iEAD valid only for 3 months.

I am highly hoping to receive my EAD approval before that!!

BTW, thanks so much for this forum for all the information on getting iEAD and special thanks to Tajindia for giving easy-to-follow directions from BART (I got it in the search).

lol these are some of the ediotic ways of there thinking. I bet she must had gottten a fit if she had seen my application or me today as my EAD expires on 21th august and today was 95 th day and i went and got 8 month iead just because some stupid guy will issue a rfe and these morons will not issue iead. One thing i did was , i did't show them my existing EAD but did mention that it was granted and date in the 765 form. It was checked by 2 different ppl and no one said a question about that . May be its independent personal thinking and u happen to meet someone who was't pleased by some one last night.

right now i have 2 vaild EAD for month

what does it mean

What did she mean saying "defeating the whole prupose"? Appling less than 3 months before expiration means you won't get EAD and you won't be able to get iEAD either. Does the purpose mean people must get into troubles working without EAD (or getting unvoluntary vacation) and evetualy falling out of status?
I quite do not understand the logic.

"I quite do not understand the logic."

Me either...

May be she meant that by applying too early for EAD we are increasing the number of applications i.e., their work load!

But if we go by their calcualtion -- 3 months backwards from July 9th is -- MAY -- surely we will be in trouble!!
