EAD Expired Today Feb 25, 2003
iEAD was granted from San Jose
* Went at 6.30am
* got in around 9.15
* Waited almost an hour before I got my turn.
* Me and my wife were called simultaneously by different
INS officers.
* The INS officers were very courteous and answered all my
doubts/questions patiently.
* Docs Taken: EAD Filing Receipt
485 Receipt
Apart from the wait most of the process was ok. The wait really tires and is no joke. To top it all it was raining today, which in a way was good coz the line was apparently not as big. When we reached, I counted about 90 people ahead of us.
One thing that sucks is that the security guard gives preference to the 'appointments only' line. Which promptly starts at 9.00am and since theres a security check, we got stuck just before the appointments only line started to move in, and that delayed us another 15-20mins. Yeah 15 mins thinking of all the algorithms that 'prevent process starvation'
hope this helps anyone who is going for an iEAD.
Thanks,
Rajesh.
