HEY GUYS (and GALS),
GOT MY iEAD at Sacramento today :)

WOOT!

You get it in one day, however beware.. when they mean a day.. they mean 6+ hours.

Anyway.. All I needed was my I-765 receipt and my passport.

Best news of all.. I GOT MY PERMIT TODAY TOO :)

So don't drive anymore, because I'm on the road too :)

Did u go there erly in the morning? Was your I765 application pending for 90 days?
 
Yeah, I had to go very early. I went the day before at like 12 and they told me they ran out of numbers...

Are you kidding??? 90 DAYS???
More like 170 days...

Validity of iEAD

Hi Simfox3,
Congrats for getting the iEAD :)..My receipt date is 10/4/02 and also i have not got it so far. I am moving to arizona end of this month so my lawyer told me that evenif they send me the approved EAD i will not get it because INS does not forward mails so i should get iEAD.

Could you tell me for how long the iEAD is valid?

iEAD expires after 280 DAYS!!!

I hope by 280 days I'll get my EAD. Cheers..

Yeah, just make sure to GO EARLY.. I'm sure you could be done in 4 hours.. maybe less if you reach the office atleast 30 minutes before opening. The reason being is that we reached the office right on opening time, but there were like a 100 people ahead waiting...

got iEAD..Finally...

I got my iEAD yesterday from sacramento INS office. It took looong 6 hours eventhough i reached there at 6:15 in the morning. Simfox3, thanks for the tip for going early...iEAD expires on 11/09/03....
 
sfo office for iead time in line?

Could someone advise how soon I need to be at the SFO office to get iead?

It is gonna be 90 days in a week.

Wow.. you reached their 6:15 and it still took 6 hours? Hey aarny11, what was your ticket number?

Mine was 82.. your's must have been like in the 20's or less..

How many officers were working in the lobby? (On my day there were about an average of 5)
 
I'm planning to go get one too.

Other than I485/I765 receits and ID(passport/driver lic),
is there any form to fill out in the INS office for iEAD ?

You will have to refile the I765 application form so just get the photocopy of the the application form you filed. Also, take the photocopy of the cheque as well.
 
Got my iEAD Friday- 14th- SFO

Original application rct date dec-11-2002.
No questions were asked.
I was at the office by 7 am in the line.
Got the job done by 3.30 pm.

You can make copies in the pan shop in the building, while you are waiting for your token to be called.

Caution: Do not eat the sandwich in the shop, with out paying first. Or the old man would scream!
 
did any one get their IEAD before 90 days from receipt date

I filed for my EAD in may 2002 and haven't received it yet.But got IEAD in August 2002 and it is getting expired next month. In the mean time I applied for EAD renewal receipt date 24th january It will be 90 days on April 24th but my IEAD will expire even before that. Do u know if they can issue a 2nd IEAD on my initial application dated may 2002(Since I didn't receive my original EAD) or will they give one on my january 2003 even though 90 days haven't passed.Your answer is highly appreciated.
