Got I94 only for 6 weeks

Hi All,

I have B1 10 years multiple entry visa and when i entered first time in US i was denid 3 months stay and was given only 6 weeks I94.

Th officer misunderstood that i came here for working and said that i cant work in B1 visa and gave me only 6 weeks stay time and said that next time i should come with work visa. (but nothing was given in written).

Now i plan to go back and come after a month. Is this ok or will i face some problem in POE.

Your limited duration I-94 will cease to "function"when you turn it in and leave the US. The next time you attempt to enter the US, it will be a fresh request from you to a POE officer for entry. That officer will have access to your CBP history. It will mention your limited stay I-94 and any other notes the original officer may have decided to include. You may be questioned on that. The examining officer will decide whether to grant you entry or not. He/She will also determine the duration of your I-94. Be prepared to answer questions with regards to your previous visit and current request for entry. No one is ever guaranteed entry on an non immigrant visa, bear that in mind.
