16 January, 2007 – Send all attested NORI Application to Houston, Texas.

25 January, 2007 - Got back all NORI Application from Indian Embassy, Texas with consular sign.

20 February, 2007 – I sent NORI Copies to my Parents directly, India.

08 March, 2007 – I got back from my father NORI clearance from Education Dept. Delhi, and from State Home Ministry. And Passport office directly sends Indian Embassy, Houston.

23rd April 2007 – Filled online Application for Waiver.

24th April 2007 – mailed documents to New York for NORI Certificate/ St. Lois for waiver

May 14, 2007 – Status appear online on DOS website.

May 27, 2007 – got my passport back along with waiver certificate from Indian Embassy New York.

June 7, 2007 – Got mail from Washington, D.C Indian High Commission stating that they forward my application to DOS

June 22, 2007 – NOL appeared online on DOS website

No Objection Statement Received June 21, 2007


June 27, 2007 – Appeared Favorable Recommendation at DOS Website

July 5, 2007 – Got Favorable Recommendation copy via post.

Recommendation Sent June 27, 2007


July 25, 2007 – Got I 612 (Approval Notice) by post from USCIS

Did the passport office give you a written note saying they had sent the letter directly to the Embassy? Or was it an oral intimation?
