Category : US H1B related query for a peculiar scenario
I was working for a company ABC . First I got B1 visa from them and I traveled to US twice on that.
Then ABC's US Head branch sponsored me H1B and I got through the lottery. But before I travel to US, they were financially ruined as a result I was not let to travel to US on H1B.
Then I resigned from ABC as I got a new opportunity in XYZ company in india itself.
I would still like to go to US.
I have a few queries regarding this.
1) Whether my both visas are valid?
2) What are the possibilities to exploit my current H1B?
Can I still travel on that and get it transferred to new employer if somebody sponsors me?
3) I do not have any pay stubs but I posses I-797 from the previous employer. What are the legal complications with transfer?
4) Would I have to file a new H1B? Will that fall under cap quota?
5) Can my current employer XYZ get it transfered here itself, if yes how?
Regards
