Wrong!

Each case has its own peculiarities and the laws their nuances.

So, my comment is:

The person who was asked to produce several PCCs must have:

a) Applied from within India, and has indeed lived in different
parts of India.

or

b) He lived in other Countries for a period of 6 months or more.

So, if you are working and living in US and India was the only other place you have stayed then you are fine.

You right. This forum has an ocean of wealth. But still few nitty grittys pertaining to individual problems do exist.

The reason I was so curious about the case I had mentioned was, the person was showing indications that he had lived for 6 years until he got his interview and didn't know why the consualte wanted 'extra' police certificate from the place he lived in india long ago.
