Got GC - MI missing - JOEF please take a look

Hello
After 1 year and 3 months i got my physical card today. My spouse got the card 8 months ago. I had to get passport restamped and had to fill I-90 (fee waived).

Center - CSC
Local office - SFO

Checked the info on my card. Everything O.K on the front of the card. But on the wide strip of film on the back of the card, my Middle initial is missing. Has anybody experienced this before? If so did you file I-90?

I think there was not enough space to fit my MI on the film. My first name is 12 characters and last name is 8 characters and there is a comma and a space b/w the two.

JOEF or anybody with the same problem please comment.

It doesn't matter. In my case I have two middle initials (both expanded in passport).

In my GC, only one MI is written on the front of the card. But in the machine readable information at the bottom of the card, both the initials are specified. I checked with the officer at INS, Newark and she said that they do not put the MI in many cases and was reluctant to take application for correction just for this reason. So, I did not bother about filing I-90.
 
It appears that the card

ran out of space in your case. 8 +12=20

In my case first name =7 letters
Last name = 10 letters
Middlename= first 2 letters printed on the back of the card
Total --- 19

In your case there was no space for the middle name.

Just my theory
