I got my GC today, started the process decade back , long journey... don't get frustated, don't waste your time, with senators and writing letters to FL , FBI etc; I have been seeing the up's and downs of immigration since '95.

As long as your case is clean and you don't have any criminal back ground you will get GC.

I know the frustation , trust me , what ever you do , in terms of writing letters etc; will not expedite your case, it used to be that way before 9/11, not anymore.

one important thing, as long as you maintain a good record of your paystubs(should be as per labor, you know what I'm talking about) and w2's and tax returns, immigration authorities will not have any technical grounds to reject your case. If the case is rejected on some other technicality, you can always get the case approved , if you hire a good lawyer(ex:not filing AC21, misdemeanor , out of status etc;).But if you mess up with your tax returns , w2's and Paystubs it will be very difficult.Employment based GC's are based on your employment , remmember that.I'm not a Immigration lawyer, but any one who had followed the INS-DHS -USCIS for last 10 years would know that.

Thank you all
God Bless you all

And as long as you still have a job or job offer in the field in which you applied for the green card. That is the part that worries people; a layoff could end their green card prospects.

Congrates.. Atlast_GC

You have lot of Patience

Really hard to wait these many years...

Hats for your patience..... njoy the green

Congrats buddy !!!

Now you have a good reason to party , and recover for all the time lost ( 10 years , it is just outrageous !!! )!!!

Good luck and best wishes !!!!

I don't know why it took this long, labor approval took very long(Pre-PERM era), security checks took long, after that , RFE's,Finger Prints(Never got the Notices for FP's). Rememeber until couple of years back, if you change your address , your'e screwed, in between, they can't locate my file and then transfer to Texas Service Center, what can I say.... everything that could go wrong went wrong .Anyways I'm glad it's over , I don't even want to analyze it any more.

You are definitely not from IT field. How can one immigrant on H-1B, stick to one employer for 10 years in IT. I just cannot imagine that. One excuse could be you are with either Microsoft or Intel or probably some investment company who is not fond of lay-off's. OR may be you have lots of patience to stay put up with desi sponsoring company.
