I sent the email inquiry to CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov two weeks ago.
Few minutes ago in today, I just got the reply:

> The file is being reviewed by an officer at this time. If all is
> in order, a decision should be made within 60 days or a request
> for additional notice will be mailed out.
>
> M. Bueno

The reply doesn't mention my name check status.

Anyone got such message before?

FYI, my status:

EB3 PD 10/xx/2001 current since 9/1/2006.
I-140/485 Concurrent filed on 05/xx/2005.
I-140 approved in 2006.
I-485 LUD 08/15, 08/16 (That was a massive LUD to 485 cases in CSC)

Thanks for your input.

What is the content of your query? can you post the gist of it?

A nice and hopeful message.

Iken,

I also sent an email inquiry last September 5, 2006. I told them that my priority date has become current and the visa number is available and that they have to continue the approprate processing of my pending I-485 for me and my spouse.

I told them this because when I change my address last march 2006 I recieved a status letter from them saying that my visa number is not available and that I have to check the DS website visa bulletin when my priority date will become current. I never recieved a notice from them regarding name check or security check on my status inquiry.

I hope I'll be recieving the same reply from them next week.

What is the email id of NSC? Our file is at NSC.

Is it NSC-XII.485@dhs.gov or I can use CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov?

Bsain,

Looks like my status is ahead of yours:

Your status: "The file will than be assigned to an officer for review"
My status: "The file is being reviewed by an officer at this time."

I really hope the message I have received from M. Bueno means that my name check has been cleared.

Same here- an email from CIS

Got an email reply from cA center on 9/11 for my email requiry of 2 wks ago.

<<<The principal's FBI name check was just cleared on August 17, 2006 and
the derivative's name check has not yet cleared as of this date. The
principal's case is currently under review with an officer. This process
might take more than 30 days.

Interestingly, only a LUD update for derivative was seen on 9/12. nothing changed for principal (since mass update of 8/15 and 8/16).

I also sent email enquiry to CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov about two weeks ago and this is the reply I received:

The California Service Center (CSC) does not accept inquiries from the
general public via email. All inquiries must be submitted to the
National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. The
National Customer Service Center will route your inquiry to the
appropriate USCIS District Office or Service Center, and will track your
inquiry to a final resolution. If you've received a transfer notice
regarding your case please inform the National Customer Service Center
at the time you submit your inquiry. The National Customer Service is
available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, PST.

I got same message. It's really head scratching to figure out why somebody got meaningful replies while others got this crap. Any idea?

Maybe due to some stupid spam filter? Just sent inquiry from my yahoo account, see what happens.

i have a feeling that this message is not autogenerated but sent by a person
for certain cases.
I just got this same reply today at the same time online message for my 485 changed saying -- we responded to your enquiry regarding this case...blah blah....and keep your mouth shut for some time etc.My LUD also changed with the updated message.

here is what happended:
I got reply to 2 of my emails in the past and then after that all email enquiries got the standard reply seen below.

Can some one who got the same reply please confirm if this was their second email ? I have a feeling that the officer does reply to at least one email enquiry (the first one) and sends the copy and paste to subsequent email.

In my case, i got a reply first time but later as i started inquiring the same question, i got the reply of "....CSC does not accept email inquiries...blah...blah..contact NSC at 1-800.....".

But the last week, i asked a gunuine question about my PD correction (on I-140 approval notice...) explaining that i have contacted NSC and took infopass but they do not have access to PD from NSC or field office, surprisingly this time i got a reply about latest
status.

I think if the officer thinks that question is relevant and the applicant had not asked the same question again and again, we will get a reply..just my openion...

LUD change out of the blue

Hi,

My 485 has been pending with CSC since mid 2005. On 8/16/2006 for no reason the date changed on my 485 case as well as my wife's 485 case. There is no message change. Our visa dates are retrogressed
since mod 2005.

What could be the reason for the date change ?

Any thoughts,please share.

Thank You.
