Got cheque for $395 from Immigration office

I applied I-485 more than a year back. Today i got a cheque of $395 from Immigration office and my A-Number is in the cheque. My online status did not change. No other letter or explanation. Any one has any idea, why i got a cheque? Also i applied my GC through the lawyer.

There might be something wrong with the cheque. Wrong amount, wrong date. Is there any paperwork accompanying it?

No paper work what so ever.

Write a snail mail to them and/or cal up the customer service number.

This implies that they retured your own check to you - but you are saying that they sent you a new check (their own US Treasury Check), correct??

Did your lawyer send 2 checks by mistake?
