It was about date of birth certificate, they didn't accept the original saying that it was issued later.
My best wishes are with you, don't worry you will get it soon.

Birth Certificate question

Hi Dimbaka,

Can you please elaborate this? I got my birth certificate just before applying I-485. I got that from corporation with the company seal and proper signature. Is that a problem?

Hello nsc_green_card,
The birth certificate I have had submitted (issued by local govt. authority) was registered in 1999 reflecting my birth in 196*. So INS didn't accept it saying it was registered late. They asked me to submit a affidavit from my parents or other person who were already born at the time and who has knowledge of my birth event. Hope this helps.
Dimbaka.

Hi Dimbaka..

Dimbaka,

Congrats for your GC approval.

Even i also registered my Birth date in 2002 with city corporation even though i was born in 1970. The hospital gave the records and i went to city corporation and got registered. So I am also expecting RFE on this based on so many cases posted here in this forum.
(city corporation didn't issue non availability certificate as they told thay can't as hospital has given the birth records).

So I have the following documents with me for RFE on BC. Are these suffficient.

1)1 affidavit from my father and 1 from my aunt (My mother expired long back)
2) I have SSLC certificate indicatiing birth date and fathers name issued in 1985.
3) I have passport with date of birth/fathers name etc issued in 1995.

So, pls tell me is it sufficient for BC RFE''s because my company laywer is very lazy/won't update the latest info for us about these problems.

Thanks

packer

Hello Greenbay,
It seems to me that USCIS is giving more credit to affidavits signed by ourparents and relatives than a later issued birth certificate. I would suggest that if you have your hospital records with you that will also be good. If there is any RFE you can send them to USCIS.
If it helps I can post exact wordings of my RFE, if that is in accordance with forum. Please let me know.

One thing I am not a lawyer and these are my suggestions only.
