Pleased to share with all of you that I've got the 485 approval email for myself and spouse too.

Email 1:

This case has been approved. On June 14, 2006, an approval notice was
mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice,
you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address,
please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business
hours.

Email 2:

On June 14, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a
new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

See my signature for my case detail. it's been a long wait time which was painful and frustrating but finanlly got the email which everybody will get sooner or later.

Little more information about my case:

I had put first Inquiry in Jan and got the feedback from VSC that they are waiting for VISA availability.

March 1 become current for me and I thought I'll get approval soon but it didn't happen. I put second inquiry in April and got the reference number (Good sign) and got the answer from VSC in May that " Your case is under review right now. You will receive a decision or further notice for action within 60 days".

Got the approval notice on June 14th.

I think my name check was completed long back but they updated in the system on March 14th 2006 (one of the customer service rep told me).

Any suggestion for further steps are welcome. Let me know if I can help any of you with any question.

Were there any LUDs on 485, just before approval?

Actually, I was following your case closely as my case was having same PD and category as yours. Mine was approved on June 4th 2006.

My case is also similar like yours only difference is that I got letter stating that wait till next 6 months (for name check response, I guess)

EB2 Substitute Labor(PD Sep 2001)
I140 ND 02/01/04 Approved 10/01/2005
I485 ND 08/08/2004
FP done 04/16/2005
I485 LUD 05/02/2005 (FP recvd)
I485 AD ????
EAD1 AP1 ND 08/08/2004 AD 09/01/2004
AP2 FD 06/01/06... did not receive receipt yet

It might give you hope that "Jomhel01" got a response from VSC about his/her inquiry that "There is no time frame on this kind of application." last week and "Jomhel01" got a approval now. So don;t worry you might get the approval email too. Good luck.

I am not sure whether there is some pattern between EB2 Priority Dates Vs EB3 ones and both turning current in case of PD's and RD for I485 ?

But I guess waiting for 30-60 Days after the enquiry is standard ?

Could you please help me how to make status inquiry.
If I call this number 1-800-375-5283 and following the below steps
1 , 2, 6, 1 ,Receipt No# ,3 , 4 connecting VSC representative.
They are telling me like background check still open.. don't know how long
it will take..waiting results from another office..etc.

How do we get reference number and letter for status inquiry.

Don't remember exactly but I guess it is 1-800-375-5283 1 , 2, 6, 1 ,Receipt No# ,3 , 3 (where it ask if your case is outside of processing time and you don;t have any update in last 60 days).

Received the approval notice and card

Yesterday I received the 485 approval notice and card. Looks cool!!

Do I need to go for passport stamping?

You got the cards man ... no need for stamping...

Did you get the emails for CARDS ?
any LUDs after approval ?
Did you get the letters of approvals + cards ? or they came seperate ?

Your response will be appreciated. Now I am Desperado !!!! ;)

Did you get the emails for CARDS ? YES. One email for card 'Ordered', another email for Card 'mailed'
any LUDs after approval ?

LUD on 485 approval, LUD on the Card order (thought it happens on same day), LUD on Card Mailed. Didn't check after that.
Did you get the letters of approvals + cards ? or they came seperate ?
I received approval lettter as well as Card on same day but they are in different envelop and was mailed by VSC on different day.
