Got AP / Completed Finger Printing - NO EAD

I have a situation where I filed my I485 with Received Date and Priority Date as May 04, 2001 in CSC. I got my AP in July, completed my finger printing on Oct 30 - but I am yet to get my EAD. My lawyer is keep saying that it will be mailed. Is it normal this way. Is there anything which I need to do? Is there a way I can get the latest information on my EAD. HELP...
 
how u did fp

I filed my I485 with Received Date and Priority Date as May 11, 2001 in CSC. I got my AP in July,and just in nov 7th I got my ead,but I am waiting for my fp when u got ur fp notice?

I got the letter from INS asking me to go and get my fp done. i got the notice around Oct 1st week for Oct last week appointment. Did you do anything for EAD to expediate.

I got my AP/EAD but still waiting for my FP.My RD is 07/03/01.
 
on H1, Father of 2 US citizen

I am on H1 and a father of 2 kids born in USA. My parent company holding my H1 has declared Bankruptsy.
I have the following questions :

A) Can I apply for HUSKY insurance for my kids (US citizens by birth) ? Will it in anyway impact my future Green card processings ?

B) Under the present law, for how much time can I stay in this country with the current H1 ?

Thanks Meena S. For a friend of mine who filed with me - he has not recvd his FP also. As per my company lawyer - he says AP and EAD are done by different depts and has no link to FP. Another friend of mine recvd last week. Must be in the mail.

ead was transferred to local INS in newark. got an appnt in newark for dec 01.in the meantime,attorney sent a copy of app back to vermont and just now got my EAD in the mail from vermont. Thank God. I thought the interview in the newark was more like an
RFE. I would strongly suggest those who have EAD cases transferred to local offices to reapply at the national offices.
 
Got my GC approval

I got my GC approval courtesy copy from INS on 12/24. I have to go and get the final stamping process to be done next week.
 
Waiting for FP notice

Dear Gurus,

I am totally un-aware of GC processing activies from CSC. My notice date for I-485 Aug 20, 01. I received my AP and EAD in Nov, 01. Waiting for FP notice. Did any one applied in Aug, 01 or later receive FP notice from CSC?

Rajkanta,

For the last one year average cycle time from I-485 to FP notification is about 4-5 months. You should be getting the notification shortly based on the history. Also heard that CSC is having more people processing now to get back to current. Good Luck.
 
I-485 to FP notification

I am sorry, my attorney informed me recently that application was filed with Vermont Service Center. Can I get updates on VSC processing time for I-485 to FP notification.
