Got a RFE ND 12/21/01

No..I didnot receice my RFE notice yet..
But my (previous company) lawer did receice the notice, they are gonna send it to me.
Its a medical RFE for both myself and my wife. I don't know the details of the RFE other than it is Medical.
Please someone tell me how it is possible to get medical RFE even though the Doctor said "everything is fine".

I mailed my medical RFE stuff on 11/09 and this the latest online status of my case :
On November 14, 2002, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. However, because preliminary processing was complete before we requested the additional material, the remaining processing time for this stage of your case is approximately 540 days. You will receive a written decision on this case.
