Got a RFE after waiting long

Online message says

"On April 7, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case"

I hate seeing this after waiting for long.

No job change, No address change.

Can anyone tell me what the RFE about?

It is definately dissapointing to see a RFE message after such a long wait.
Atleast your file is being looked at.. Hopefuly once you reply to this RFE, your case would be approved quickly.

Hard to say what it will be but at a guess could be one of the below( highest probability first):

1. Employment based(W2, Tax, Letter from Company)
2. Medical
3. Birth Certificate etc..

Just wait and you will find out. RFE is a +tive sign- so don'tworry a whole lot.

2nd FP received : 10/03/03.
Got 3rd EAD and AP, valid until next Jan

Contacted Senator twice but no help. Made an enquiry two weeks ago, I guess that would have triggered RFE.

Just what everybody said that RFE is a good thing and atleast somebody looked at your case.

It's very natural to worry about this. On April 2nd as you probably know that RFE was issued on my case. I was wondering, since i am in the same job but i have moved 5 times since filing I-485, maybe they would want to confirm my employment etc!!!

However, you'll be shocked to know that they only asked me for "original papers for medical" as the doctor had mailed the copies.

Now, it's not possible to get the originals from the old doctor, so today i went and get new medical done!!!

Let us know what your RFE is about, you never know until you get it..!!!

It's really sucks. They made you to go for medical test one more time. It's really bad. Anyway, you will get your GC soon.

I am not sure about my RFE and will have to wait to see what they have asked. Sure, I will let you know.

For Me, Requested Employment Letter and Latest I-94

For my wife, Missing required medical tests, I guess, she now has to go for all the tests again. Me and My wife went to same Doctors and did the same tests, I think, Doctor missed some test results.
