As you all know the story of my RTD been taken away late November. I did write a letter to USCIS explaining what happenned with a new application(I-131) with the $170 fee... I also wrote as to why I thought I was abused for no reason...and VOILAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The funny thing is they never cashed my check so I was wondering what the hell was going on but today I get an email saying that the document has been mailed.

I guess USCIS has some people who can actually read yay!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of us on a personal level have had negative experiences with the USCIS/INS, but as a whole they are a reasonable agency doing its best to fulfill conflicting missions.

You crack me up Want...

For the record, I have never had a problem with NSC or any other center with an application I have filed. Including the time they screwed up my RTD and I returned it to them with a note as well. In general, I noticed that if you include a detailed coverletter with all supporting documents, the application goes through smoothly. The only issue I had was that %$*$&# asylee adjustment cap. :) But thats all behind us now.

I'm glad you got the issue resolved. I had a similar incident way back when they took my indefinite I-94 and gave me one that was valid for 1-year with the wrong designation. I had that corrected and a new I-94 mailed to me without paying the fee as well.

We often bash the INS (I like the classical name) out of frustration, but at the end of the day, we understand that they are good people like you and me just trying to do their job under extreme circumistances. We also know that they do not write the law!

Well they need to be bashed. Most of the officers at POE do not know the law..They get confused when you show them a RTD or a RP..that green mean color looking document makes them pee in their pants...

Everyone knows that the officers at POE are very stubborn and do not take any answer..no matter if you show them any proof or any "FAQ" sheets..In the end, writing a letter helps...
