got 5 LUDs in 8 days

Hi, everyone,

I filed 485 in CSC in Dec 2004 and got stuck in name check ever since. I check in Mar 2006 and the reply is still "FBI name check is pending." My visa number is current.

However, I noticed LUD on Apr 14 (Fri), 16 (Sun, Easter!!), 19 (Wed), 21 (Fri), and 22 (Sat!) 2006. No message change, though.

Anyone has any idea what may happen? I have EAD approved on Apr 18. Will that trigger these many LUDs?

Thank you! Do you mean you have exactly the same LUDs as mine? Or just similar?

I sent email. Has not gotten reply yet.
 
I have the same exact LUDs too. I am not too sure what to make out of it !!! I have been stuck in Name Check since Apr 04.

I got reply from officer Olivares at CSC XII on Apr 13. But this was an answer to a question which I had asked on 03/27/2006 regarding what can be done from my side ( to request USCIS ) to get the exact status from the Name Check department. The answer was NO!! He also said that I should wait for 60-90 days before inquiring again !!! I did not specifically ask about the name check status. I had done so on 03/14/2006 and got a reply that the Name Check is still pending as of that date!!!

I sure hope this is an end to the Name Check issue.

Huu..interesting, exactly the same LUDs...I just do not understand why there were so many LUDs including Sunday and Saturday... Was that case transfer? Hopefully not. I sent an email on Apr 20th. I asked about my 485 status and if my name checking is still pending. I hope I can have good news and I will post my answer here.
 
LUD is "Last Update Date". After joining this forum i did not know how to see it for a long time. But recently I figured it out from an old post. If you go to USCIS status check at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do and type your case number you will simply see the status message of your case but not the LUD. To see the LUD you have to create a Portfolio account on the USCIS website at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp . Once you are registered, then add your case (using the case number) to the portfolio. Then when you login you will see a table showing all cases that you have added to your portfolio. This table has a column called Last Update, which has this mysterious last date USCIS updated some info on that case. Sometimes you see these dates changing, but your case status message stays same and then you get people posting here "LUD changes ... don't know what's happening" etc. But those magical LUDs sometimes make our days while waiting in line to see the end of the tunnel for years with hair going gray or falling out. It's a little glimmer of hope to convince ourselves "ah, they are doing something!".

Exactly! We just guess, guess... Just something might be better than nothing...
