I got the 485 approval, now what happens to the pending H-1 extension ??? Do you have to explicitly cancel it ? Does it jeoparadize your approved immigrant visa ??? Any ideas ?

RE: Got I-485 - what next

My understanding is that I-485 granting gives you basically LPR status. However for issuance of your green card, you will have to make an appointment with your local service center (through info-pass) to be fingerprinted, etc. After your appointment, you will likely have to wait some time to get the actual card since the INS is so behind.
If your I-485 is granted, it automatically cancels your visa - so either get advance parole before you travel or get the local service center to stamp your passport when you go for your appointment. If you don't have one of these two things and you leave the country, you may not be able to re-enter when you return.

Send a request to cancel the pending application and also include the receipt # for your 485. They will cancel the extension. It will not invalidate your approval.

--he cannot send request to cancell H1 it is employer who can send letter if employer wants( not needed)

---no need to do anything with your, Name A# and DOB in CLAIMS they will come to know that your I-485 is approved and H1 extension will not be granted it automaticaly becomes invalid .they may send letter to lawyer/employer who filed H1 extension that you are not eligible for H1 extension as your I-485 is approved
