In reading the consequences of staying past I-94 expires and before we receive the approval or denial notice, I would like to know if this seems a good reason and worth taking risk.
I have applied for extension of stay for my mother-in-law for only 26 days. The reason is that my Father-in-law is here only for 2 months as he got vacation for only two months. Her I-94 expires Sep 3rd and he has vacation until Sep 30th. We have asked for extension until Sep 27th. She has arthrites and travelling is not going to be easy if she comes back next time. The possibility of my Father-in-law getting vacation is bleak for another year. Also, my mother-in-law is here in US for 11 months in a total of 12 months calendar. She went to India and came back in one month after her first 6 months entry.
My parents are planning on coming to US on B2. If my mother-in-law goes out of status, does it impact my parents getting B2 Visa? The reason of me not ensuring my in-law maintaining status would cause problems to my parents? Remote possibility but just curious.
