According to the news at http://www.immigration-law.com/ , Congress Passed Today Religious Worker Immigration Extension Bill for Five Years. Is this good or bad for our EB I-140 and I-485 process ?
I think it is not too bad since that's five years. BICS doesn't need to allocate too much resource for that at this moment. Though it could have been better they didn't extend it at all, or extend it last year or earlier.
for the workers as for us we are likely to be kicked around as there will be some other special interest soon out there claiming prioirty over tax paying people like us
Tombaan:
Religious workers are not given preferential treatment as people usually perceive. Religious workers pay tax too.
I am non-ministerial worker. I did not go through labor certification. However, I started my green card process since 2000 and still waiting for approval of my I-485.
