Good News to 140 filers..my i-140 approved

Congrats, Aug.
Hi There:
I do have the same ND for my 140 (8/5/02). The only diff is that my 140 is filed in EB2 category. Are you a concurrent filer ( 140 + 485) or you never applied for 485 and was waiting for your 140 approval.
Just trying to figure out the processing criteria from INS stand point as I know bunch of people who have ND prior to Aug,02 and nothing is yet happened on their cases.

Congrats on your approval. Its really great to hear the news that August people are getting the approval. Would appreciate if you could answer a couple of questions...
1) Did u file concurrently?
2) Can you give us the first first 5 or 6 numbers of you EAC number, excluding the "EAC".

Just trying to understand...what's good in it for me ?
U say its good news for all of us I-140 filers...what's good ?
Other than sharing your happiness ( which I have no
problem doing ), there are enough bad news in it ...for eg.
1) I-140's are being approved in a trickle
2) Application dates and priority dates are being thrown to
the winds. For instance with a PD date of July 1999 and an
I-140 ND of June 2002, there's no trace of my I-140.
So again..what's the good news in it for ME ?
Sorry for being plain, blunt and straight..i just fail to
understand.

In my view, the reason for putting title like that is at this point of time so many are waiting for their 140 approval and no body was sure about what is happening..I too had undergone this difficult situation..and this was as a ray of hope that INS is considering to clear pending cases..

In my view, the reason for putting title like that is at this point of time so many are waiting for their 140 approval and no body was sure about what is happening..I too had undergone this difficult situation..and this was as a ray of hope that INS is considering to clear pending cases..

It all depends
I have no intention of being a selfish dampener to your
ecstacies on getting your I-140 approved.
Just trying to look at the big picture ( one of my perennial
faults..lookiang at the big picture..will stop doing that one
day ) ....and the big picture is really bad news, bcoz
1) I-140 applications are being approved in a trickle.. they
are probably being applied in hordes. Thus the pile
or backlog is building everyday as we speak.
2) Unfairness has crept into this procedure like anything.
Its one thing to be fair, its another thing to be a wee bit
random and its a totally diffferent game to be grossly
unfair. Today, its those I-140's are being approved
which were applied latter...in fact the latter one is
applying the earlier one's getting it.
As for either RAY or HOPE....I don't think there is one.
Once again, it ha been my repeated , frantic calls to all
and sundry to rise up together, bond, unite and do something
concrete about this bs going on, leaving apart individual
cases. For example, do you know what's going to happen
to your I-485...?
Never mind, it always falls on deaf ears.

How could I forget that ?
