Good News for Illegal Immigrant!

yeah, illegals will get work permits and they will be allowed to file for green card. I see millions of Labor Certification requests coming in. Probably in some states this process is going to take over 7 years now.

Right now more details are not available but as of now it looks , it might create a system parallel to H1B -> Green Card. Anyone with job offer can stay legally and even those who are in their native country can get this work permit by showing a job letter. Then why bother going through painful H1B approval process ... some ABC company will be able to issue an offer letter to you and get it done. My uncle has a lot of real estate property and established business so when i lose my H1B Status I should wait to become illegal and then i should get offer letter from him and become legal again. huh.... Sounds like our President is desparate to get votes from Latino community here in US.

I fully agree with you my friend. British Immigration Law allows you to directly apply for residency if you complete 4 years in UK on workpermit...... and it does'nt matter how many employers you changed during this period of time. Application usually takes from 2 to 6 months to get processed.

We need to have a similar kind of law here . Illegals get married or file for political asylum and get GC and poor professionals struggle for years to maintain their status. We issue 1 million GCs every year. Only 140,000 of them go to the people who have employment related visas. :mad:
 
You are absolutely right!

At least speed up a bit on the skilled ones or something...

Some other countries does this also besides Britain.
 
You guys sure do know a lot more about this law than I do! I haven't even seen the bill that came out of the committee yet, let alone the form that it passed through the house and senate to be submitted to Bush for his signature.
