Good news despite all the bad news around us

my 4 day experience with running Greenland Script indicates there are about 16 approvals per day for LIN-02-193. Others can go thru the same drill and post their experiences.

After all, I am optimistic and think NSC is doing ok as far as the quantity of the approvals is concerned. Since all our gatherings are base on information on rupnet.com and this forum, we tend to think they are still slow.

All said, it doesn't make sense that people with far ahead RD's are still waiting and they are working on May RD's at this paste. All my sympathy goes to them.

I will be out of town from Monday to Thursday but I will continue this observation after I come back.

Meanwhile, I encourage you to do the samething and share the outcome with other pals.

Good Luck

You're optimistic but I cannot agree with you. I think rupnet data is what we should trust. Greenland report cannot tell if those cases are family-based or employee-based. I believe most of the approved cased are family-based. Just my opinion.

You have a valid point. However, keep in mind this is only one day of year 2002 that we are looking at. Even if a few of these cases are employee based we should be happy.

And you are right, I am being optimistic. We need to inject some hope to this forum just as much as we lack it. I also enjoy reading critics posts as they remind us we shouldn't be ignorant to several problems that exist.

Have a good weekend.

This data is the best of all data I ever

saw from NSC. Can you believe that they have started approving a bulk without even strings rfe?!!
Looks like some prudent guy came and started doing the right thing. Just can't reduce the backlog by generating rfe in every single case. This is that simple. We haven't seen any other LIN to show this pattern though so this is for sure because of one smart individual(s) in that particular group. Please post if you see any changes on you respective LIN numbers.

Here is the latest update + the summary. I will run the next one on thursday 2/5/04.

AnkurG,

Unfortunately, you are right. From what I have seen in this forum they are not processing the cases in the right order. Or at least this is what the posts show.

For 02-191, they peaked in late

Dec and 1st two weeks of Jan. During those 3-4 weeks, they were averaging about 70 cases per week. However, they only processed 33 this week (could be the result of bad weather, though). However, my experience with LIN has been that they earnestly started on this Lin the week of Oct 20, '03. They started by processing 10-15 cases per week (with at least one each day of week), rising to 20-25 cases in Nov, then to 50 cases in Dec and theup to 80 cases in mid-Jan. After that, there has been a steady decline to 50 and now 33 this past week.

If I were to base a conclusion on that, it would appear that they are trying to get around 50% of the cases for each day processed within a 3-month period, then slowing progress on that LIN and picking up a newer LIN. Doing that allows them to claim that they are even processing cases from a recent date and that they have processed more than 50% of the cases for each LIN before a certain date.

I hope that is not the case, but looking at the trends from a few months ago for Jan, Feb and Mar cases when they were processing then in droves and whose processing has now come down to a trickle, whereas we saw Apr and May cases pick up. Now those are slowing down to a trickle and you see more of the later May and June cases processed.
