Just read in a book called "Becoming a U.S. Citizen: A Guide to the Law, Exam & Interview" by "Ilona Bray J.D."

It is deportable to become a public charge (i.e. receiving need-based government assistance, like food stamps) within 5 years of entering US (even from a short vacation).

Example given says you can be greed card holder for 20 years, leave US for a short vacation, then be at risk of deportation if you receive government assistance for next five years.

Does anyone know if Unimployment insurance claim is considered as government assistance for this purpose?

I found this book in county library. It's also listed on Amazon.

UI is not a public benefit but an insurance payoff. SO it is not an issue.

And unlike I485, N400 does not even have such a question as
"Have you ever received public assistance?".

Therefore it is a non-issue for citizenship
