I see you are online, and cleaning up the un wanted threads, I have no complaints whatsoever about losing the Cricket thread I posted this morning.

I would like to thank you for cleaning up the other Nasty threads. Please also delete this thread

Every thing gets Denied The First Time (Though I dont want those 2 Threads Deleted, Just removed from the top).

Yes, great job

Operations has done a great job by eliminating unwanted soar hate tumours from this board.

My suggestion to them is create a www.religiousfilth.com and spend their lowlives on that site.

I am so glad

It is just so much better to see us discussing topics that are relevant. I actually enjoy the odd joke or puzzle. Its the religious stuff that is so boring.

3 Travelers and their 3 Cannibal bag-carriers are on one side of a river.

There is one boat to take the Travelers to the other side

But the boat can only take 2 people across at any time.

How should the travelers go about crossing the river... given that

IF AT ANY TIME (EVEN FOR A SPLIT SECOND) THE CANNIBALS OUTNUMBER THE TRAVELERS ON any SIDE OF THE RIVER, THEY ARE GOING TO eat THE TRAVELERS

Don't forget someone has to bring the boat back to the first side for successive trips

P.S. - Extra points to get the cannibals across too (after all someone has to carry the bags)

Already did this...

This was a part of our course..(cant remember which subject)..
in Computer Science....

Also once appeared in the examination...to write an algorithm to solve the problem.....

Traveller one ferries... so he does the following

1. Take 1st cannibal across - come back
2. Take 2nd cannibal across - come back
3. Take 1st remaining traveller across and bring back Cannibal 2 on the return trip.
4. Take the 2nd remaining traveller - come back
5. Take the 2nd cannibal across - come back
6. Take the 3rd cannibal across and jump out of the boat before the 3rd cannibal.

Mondays are not that bad after all. I can still think... whoooppps!!! thank god.

Howdy rawager :)

Step 1 is fine

Step 2 is where the problem is....
the moment the Traveler takes a cannibal on the other side, now there are 2 Cannibals on that side and the poor traveler will get eaten up!


so try again

This was really good.

Initially, I thought how come it's so easy. I guess, I missed the "not even for a split second" rule.
