Interesting information indeed!
Now I know that I can get a permit from USDA to import s*hit and that tableware made in foreign countries may contain dangerous levels of lead in the glaze which I assume includes just about all tableware sold in the US, thus explaning the stickers "known to the State of California to cause cancer" I've been seeing. (how come the State of Texas doesn't know it?)
Furthermore, I think the CBP officer who admitted me last time forgot to take his pledge:
We pledge to cordially greet and welcome you to
the United States.
We pledge to treat you with courtesy, dignity,
and respect.
