Guys

I have my Green Card approved 4 months ago. What are the consequences if I take up an assignment thru an US company and work for a client in UK ??

Please post your suggestions.

Thank You

GC is to stay in the USA

You can apply a return permit and go to UK with valid justification for one time if it is unavoidable. But, once we cross the borders we don\'t know what happens after one year. We may return or may not.

But, after UK, if you go somewhere and then somewhere, there is no point in having US GC. You will loose the GC or risking to loose your GC.

Remeber, GC was give to you on the fact that your job is permanent in the USA and you will stay in the USA for that job.

If due to bad economy, some consulting companies may want some people to work in different countries even after gettin GC. In that case, better to look for another job within the US. Or risk the GC and become a global employee of that company.

Am I right?

I thought as long as you pay taxes in the U.S. you will be fine? Because it shows the intention of being in the U.S

Paying taxes and not staying here is cheating the US Government

Once we have GCs, we have to live in the USA like any other American and feel their pains as Americans.

Otherwise, being a non-US-citizen, we can go to any country where we can earn a lot and finaly setlte in our own country.

It is individual decision.

We cannot get all the benifits.
