Going to School while 485 is not approved.

I anticipate that I will not get my 485 approved by the time I quit my job and go to school. However I do think that it would be more than 6 months since the 485 was applied (in fact it would be 8-9 months).

Can I still get a Green Card or will the entire process be jeopardized?

What if I take a leave of absence from my current company with the intention of coming back and joining the same company?

I need to make a few important decisions based on what the situation is, so any responses will be appreciated.

If you get a RFE, you need to prove that you will join the sponsoring company after GC approval (need a letter from company). Otherwise I dont see any other problem currently... Maybe after 5 years on GC...
