Going to newark office tomorrow

I am going to newark office tomorrow

anyone wants me to ask any particular questions?

I suppose answers will be "wait" but still will try

I think Newark office is the worst office. Anyway I haven't been in any other office but this is experience

First of all this information is coming from USCIS website

Customer Access Information
Walk-in hours for this office are Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 4:30PM.

The public e-mail address is: NewarkAsylumOffice@uscis.dhs.gov.

The public phone number is: 201-508-6100.

Now what happened. I walked in and they told me that status check or inquiry day was only Friday. It was 10 miles from my home and not big deal to drive but imagine people who are coming from Delaware, Connecticut, Long Island to check their applications status, they spend almost $50 or more for two way travel and my goodness what happens, rude security guy kicks you out and explains in two words: Come back Friday.

This sucks man, and do you know what sucks more. It was 12 noon and I thought just 1 applicant there waiting who was supposedly on her interview because she had kids with her. And office was empty no rush, no fuss, empty like hell. no one takes care look at Newark Asylum office statistics, once of the laziest offices. This is frustrating man, suucks,

I am going there tomorrow morning. It is Friday and let's see.

Unbelievable, when I inquired my interview notice was already on the way and got lost or not delivered in time.

Guys my interview in On Monday Nov 11th.

I recommend everyone of you just to go and inquire about your case.

I am changing my negative view about asylum office, because people there were friendly, I asked as many questions as I wanted and they were as informative as I wished. Well my experience is that I received clear answer. First I inquired about my address change if they had it. Yes they had in their records my new address and I also placed tick on the inquiry paper "Schedule my interview" and the guy who was dealing with the case checked and told me my interview is on Novermber 11th

I rushed to my lawyer, he didn't receive anything so far, i didn't receive too. By the way lawyer also changed business address.

So I was lucky I went to inquire.

Everyone has same human rights in this country it doesn't matter you are asylum seeker or US citizen. Human rights are the same for everyone, you have freedom of speech, ask as many questions as you like. Just talk to them on professional manner and try to be nice. Also probably it depends who will review your request but well my today's experience is postive. Also when you enter office you see lots of refugees photos and after you clear security check you go to waiting room where there are signs o the wall which starts like: "Emigrants and descendants of emigrants built this country" also there is one sign which attracted my attention: "You can live in France but you will never become Frenchman, you can live in Germany but you will never become German, you can start your life in America and become American" I am not sure if I am quoting correctly but this was the content.

So people I recommend you to go and inquire. it will not hurt your case, everyone has right to ask question and no one has right to judge your asylum case because of your question.

I have more confident now that if your case is real and based on true evidence you will get what you are asking for.

Even if I am referred to judge I still prefer to be certain on my case than live in uncertainty

So nicely inquire about your case, may be interview notice has been mailed to you and it is missing?

On your place I would go to Asylum office at least 2 times in a month.

I regret that I didn't go before as I would have more time to prepare for interview.

Cheers

Congrats, get well prepared. is the inquiry paper given to you at the asylum office or you had it beforehand?

Yes it is given in Asylum office

Thanks, I am starting from today to prepare myself, will simulate interview

Know your application and evidence inside and out. I don't know about Asylum office but in my interview in Immigration court, I wasn't allowed to have my application or evidence in front of me for reference. Most if not all questions will come from your application and evidence you supply.
