I am a recent graduate and doing full time job. My company is planning to do H1b visa this April. I need to go to India in May. Can I go to India after I apply for H1b in April. I have a valid student EAD now.
---How you will enter US? EAD is for work and not for Entry to US. H1 is applied by US employer and not by you. your must talk to your company lawyer for your options.

If one goes out after filing COS then COS is abandoned. If Extension of status is filed that is not abandoned. USCIS has cleared that through MEMO.It won't affect approval decision but may affect COS depending on timing of paperwork processing.
