going for Visa Extension in Jan. Please Advise

Hi All,

I have some questions related to My passport.

1. My Passport validity will expire on Oct 2007. My H1b visa will expire in Jan 2007. I wanted to go for visa extension in Jan 2007 before my H1b expire. Do i need to take a new passport before i go for Visa Extension.

2. Is It OK with Old Passport?

3. Any body got queries in NOGALES, AZ / NOGALES, SONORA, MEXICO Centre?

4. Which is the best time to go for visa means Before my Current H1b Expiration or After h1b expiration. DO they allow if you we got a query if i go before my h1b visa expire.

Please give me the answers....

Your Passport should be valid for minimum of 6 months..
If your current employer/education/new employer nature related to
microchip, environmental, water utility, space, air related company,
consulate may require FBI Clearence, which takes about 4-6 weeks( usually it comesout in 2-3 weeks)
If that is the case, its always better to go to home country to get stamped.

Its always better, you go for extension when your visa is still valid.
In worst case, if they refuse/query you could come back US.
