Go to Canada with H-1B1 Approval Letter?

Hi, I need to make a trip to Canada for 4 days. Can I take my H-1B1 approval letter with me and use it to re-enter? I used to hold F-1 visa and I never went outside US to get my passport stamped for H-1B1. Based on the new regulation, I really don\'t want to risk anything if my H-1B1 application is denied by the consulate.

Anyone knows if I can use the approval letter to re-enter within a week? Thanks so very much!
 
According to the new rule...

If you had gone to get the multile entry and your stamping was denied you might not be allowed to get back in. If this is a pleasure or other business trip then you have a chance.
