If you are USA citizen already, you might tell him honestly: You got everything via political asylum. Your Passport has a Type marked as : P. it is a sign of political asylum. you no need to tell any lies.

Type means Type of passport - P probably stands for Personal or Private or something else. Ive seen the passport of American born citizen same thing P.
There are few types of U.S Passport - Private, Official, Diplomatic, No fee passport.
On the top of the page, there is a Type marked there. we are marked as P.

Wow... I am truely amazed at this type of behavior of Chinese govt.. they are acting as total jerks. You are a US citizen now and that is all what matters. They don't need to know your life history to issue you a visa... That's probably why China is still a 3rd rate country in the world although they are trying hard to portray in front of this world that they are equal to America or European nations....

A Chinese lawyer of USA immigration told us in a lecture like this. I hope it is not so. Sorry to mislead everybody. Actually, this news made me sad for a while.

I am sooooo agree with you. Chinese communist government is full of jerks; they are bunch of "goons and thugs”. Their brains were washed by communist government; they don't even understand what human rights are. Chinese Communist government lacks confidence in their power because they are brutal and achieved their power not by democratic way, that is why they always crackdown poor Tibet, Uighur people and other democracy advocates. China seems strong in the third world, but if you go and see the life there, most of the population is living below $0.5/day with fear of government crackdown. No freedom of speech, no freedom...
World should say something and protect human rights, China always spend money on political negotiators with developing countries. For example: 20 Uighur people who are belong to so called minority group of China filed asylum in UN office in Cambodia a months ago, they fled China in fear of prosecution after ethnic riot happened in July 5, 2009. China bestowed Cambodia 1 billion dollar and forced Cambodia send the Uighurs back. Cambodia did so since it is a bullshit country in terms of democracy too. Now those 20 Uighurs will be tortured, killed or sent to prison in China soon. This kind of instances are too numerous to list.
