I am EB3

My name check was initiated on DEC 2003 immediatly after filling for 485. I was working to expedite name check starting last August. My letter to Mr William Hootan helped resolve the issue with my name check. I got email from FBI on 04/18 stating my name check is cleared on 04/15. Calling VSC using the tips posted is not good idea until u know that they have everything to process ur application. Since they log each call it might be good idea to refrain from frequent calls.

Based on my experience IBIS check takes no time, so if FP is completed and application is still pending then it is due name check.. meaning after passing all dates. So try getting confirmation from FBI and use it to expedite application with VSC. Good Luck

how did you expedite the FBI name check....

I had sent several letter to Hootan, David and some others in name check department. Ended up sending Tax info, Figer print, lot of other document which i dont think required. Still I sent all the document pertaining my personal info.

can you please share the format you have used for it and fax/address to sent it to. I haven't got the mail from FBI yet...But i think my app must have stuck at name check...do you think its ok to send expedite to FBI with out knowing the status of name check.
