'Given Name' on 'Confirmation of Permanent Residence' is truncated. Is it Common?

My First Name and Father's name is 17 characters. I observed that in 'Given Name' Column of 'Confirmation of Permenent Residence' documnet, my father's name got truncated. As an experienced Software Consultant, I could realize that it is due to Print Format. More than 15 characters will overshoot to next column.

On all other documents including Visa stamped on my Passport and on the 'Confirmation of Permenent Residence' documents of my wife and son, my name is perfectly OK.

I have to land before 31st May? Does anybody has any situation like this? Or I should inform CIC about this?

Thanks in advance for all your views and help.

I don't forsee any problems. When you land just bring it to the attention of the officer who handles your case. He/She can add the missing characters manually.

Thanks Vault. I have received the letter from Regional Program Center and they confirmed that only alloted number of characters are able to fit in the space. However, my full name is in their system.

For Sanvibha

Hi,

Please can you let me know how much time they took to send you the letter. I have a similar issue and I faxed them a letter about the same today.

Thanks

Within a week..

But don't worry. If you have only name truncated beyond these many characters, and everything else is correct ( I mean what ever portion of the name printed on landing portion is correct), it's OK. Even your PR card will have the same name (truncated).

All the best.
