I am asking this for a friend.
She is a pharmacist but now in biomedical IT on whic the AOS is based. Because of the delays, she is now not interested in pursuing the GC. She actually wants to do pharmacy. She is working on EAD. If a pharmacy employer/school is willing to do H1 for her, can she get it done without a problem. her aos may or may not get approved in the meantime but she is completely frustated by the delays and doesnt care any more.
do you have any advice/tips for her.

I think she has to decide between: Green Card, Career Choice

If Green card is what she wants, then delay the career move till she gets her green card.

If career move is important then just forget about GC processing and go with a fresh H1 and be here till she completes six years and then go back

If she is really lucky then she can abandon the GC and her current employer does not inform INS and she does not get any RFE and gets the GC

Thanks win

I was thinking the same way too. if staying away from career means a big blow to the future, its not worth it. also, india developing the way it is now, it really doesnt matter where you are.
her main question was would she be able to safely get an H1 from new employer with duties etc entirely different from her 140 petition. would her H1 be approved in such a case.
