Ginnu, please help -- H1 transfer start date

Ginnu and other gurus please help on the following issue. I searched the forum but could not find the answer.

I initiated a H1B transfer from company A to B in April 2004. After I received the receipt notice from USCIS, I started to work in B in April 2004. Recently I received the approval notice for my H1B transfer. However, I noticed that the H1B valid date starts from July 2004.

My question, shouldn't the start date be April 2004? Is this my lawyer's mistake or is it normal? Is there any problem related to this July start date? I have been working and receiving paycheck between April and July from company B.

----- you need to check with your lawyer if he has asked the start date from July 2004 or check the copy of LCA with lawyer, if lawyer filed correctly and lawyer says it is USCIS mistake then lawyer knows what to do.

h1 transfer

My friend transfered H1B from Company A to Company B. When her transfer is pending she applied for transfer to Company C. Both of her H1Bs got approved. Whom should she work for? Can she work for Company B or should she join company C.

I just checked with the lawyer (actually maybe the lawyer assistant). She said that I should be fine since my receipt date as shown on the approval notice is March 2004, although the approval notice date and valid start date is July 2004.

Ginnu, do you guys think she is right or not?

I just plan to file a new H1 transfer to a another company (which is my dream job). Right now, I donot know if I should go ahead to move on or not, since I am kind of worried...

---Please check with lawyer not with his assistant or check with new company lawyer provide the copy of all the H1 approvals and find what he says
