ginnu Please advice -- multiple 485s

Hi,

I filed I-140 with labor substitution in May 2007 and in July 2007 I filed 485 also with Company A as a future employee. I did not get the 485 receipt number.(No A# number yet)
Substitute Labor priority date is : MAR 2005 EB2, INDIA.


Now my original labor(Priority date: JUL 13th 2007) got approved on July 17th with my present employer(company B). and my attorney wants to file I-140/485 before Aug 17th.

Will it be a problem in generating the 485 receipt number for Company B as One can not file multiple 485's I mean two different A#'s for alien.

I don't think thats going to be a problem since when you file 485 this time in the application you have to say yes to the question : Have you file AOS before ? so before they assign you A number they will check in the system if A number is already assigned..

Yes you can file multiple 485 based on different applications ..

-------------------If the fee check is cashed then back of cashed e fee check is your I-485 filing receipt # and you can write on cover letter that you filed other I-485 on date…. and did not have got I-485 filing receipt provide the date of filing, Name, DOB, address and sign the letter with date( if you track the fee check and can find I-485 receipt # stamped back of the check then also write the receipt # or can attach the check copy front and back)
