My wife was on H1B visa, and she applied for TD visa through mail at the begging of June. Unfortunately, she didn't get TD visa yet, just receipt.
I called CBPB officer and he told me it's not the problem, that we can come to the border and get TD visa, but after that we have to cancel one in progress ( one that my wife applied through mail ).
How we can cancel that visa? And how to find document for visa cancellation?

Thanks.

The CBP officr was correct. If she needs to leave US, she will simply get (assuming she is a Cdn citizen) a new TD at the border, with proof of marriage and proof of your TN (I-94); you do not have to be there. But if she does not need to leave US, she can wait until her mail-in is processed, she is considered in "TD-pending" status right now.

If she does go to border, then it is is best to subsequently cancel the mail-in. This is done simply by sending a letter to the office processing I-539 her petition, quoting the petition number on her reciept, requesting that her petition be cancelled.

Thank you very much Nelsona.
Is there any way that she can be rejected for TD at the border if she gets all papers with her?

Nope. make sure she brings a copy of her TD petition reciept. This will show she took the required steps to reman legal after she lost her job.
