First of all let me thanks to all of you guys and the administration of this helpful forum that allow us to follow and get prepare in every detail of our immigration process.

I'm thankfully finishing my green card immigration process base on the petition of my wife (US citizen). Below you will see how has been the schedules of the process:

10/20/2009: Mailed package (Day 0)
10/22/2009: Package delivered (Day 2)
10/28/2009: Check cleared (Day 8)
10/31/2009: Receipts in mail (I-130, I-485, I-765) (Day 11)
11/05/2009: Biometrics apt notice (Day 16)
11/23/2009: Biometrics Appointment taken (Day 34)
12/11/2009: Email update (EAD production ordered) (Day 42)
12/11/2009: Interview letter (Day 42)
12/17/2009: 2nd Email update (EAD production ordered) (Day 48)

My wife and I are getting our self ready and all the paper works together for the interview.

We are a little concern because since I arrive to US (2008 with B2 visa) I have been working in the same job without permit.

Our concern is if they ask me if I have been working without permit and all the other questions related to the same topic what we should say and if that could be a problem?

Thanks for your time, I really appreciate your advice.

Tony

At my interview they asked me if I was still in school (I came to US on F1 but fell out of status). I was tempted to saý "yes" but then I realized that they had probablý already checked my enrollment status. So I say DON'T LIE on any question they ask. Maybe they won't ask about it even!

I will go with the general refrain here: Dont lie about anything. Anything you say at the interview is under oath, so act accordingly.

What did they say about not continuing your F-1 status? Any problems?
My sister and I are concerned because we plan not to continue as a full-timer starting next semester.

well I adjusted status thru marriage to a USC, and in such cases, being out of status is forgiven (as long as you ENTERED the US legally). When the interviewer asked me if I was still in school, I answered "no" and he replied "alright". My guess is there was no need to pursue that line of questioning since, no matter what my reason was, my overstay would be forgiven. Overstays are forgiven for immediate relatives of USC - so i think you will be fine

What I really would like to know if to be working without permit is forgiven when you got married with a USC?

even that I did not put that I have been working in the form, if they ask me about I will say the truth!.

Thanks!!

If you quit school after the I-485 is filed and you get the receipt, that is OK, because the pending I-485 keeps you from being out of status or illegal. But as an over-21 child of a USC, quitting school before filing the I-485 would have been a problem.

First of all I want to thanks all of you guys in this forum, because you really has helped a lot of people with the immigration process!! Thanks a lot!

Yesterday afternoon my wife and I had the USCIS green card interview married base and everything was smooth and great. The lady who interviewed us was really friendly and professional. After a conversation that included information about how and when we met and showing the co-mingling accounts (car Insurance, Bank, Lease) she told us the green card has been approved and she is going to request it by the computer system in the next 5 min and should arrive in our mail in about two week!!!

My wife and I are really happy! this year look to be a great year for us!!

Thanks again and wish the best of the luck!!
