hi

im getting married soon to my gf(USC), just want to ask what are the papers needed and the kinds of application forms from the ins if she will petition me
im on a f1 status right now

thanks in advance :)

I suggest you go to uscis.gov website and do some research. Basically your wife need file I-130 as petition for you and you need file I-485 for adjustment of permanent resident. If you have travel plan outside US in the near future, you need apply for Advance Parole(I-131) or you need work soon, apply EAD(I-765).

I think a good starting point will be I-485 form webpage
http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-485.htm

Good luck! Just a reminder, do your medical exam(I864 form, which is part of I485) as soon as possible cause usually it will take a few days to get result back and you have to make appointment with immigration surgeon.

thanks

so do i need to submit all of them at the same time??

and after i submit all the papers, do i still need to go to school to be in legal f1 status?

Is this the same 17 year old girl you were talking about in an earlier post? dude didn't we tell you this is a very early age for marriage and your case will be most probably denied? If you wanna marry someone for the green card find someone who is at least 21.

I see you have so many questions. I have only one question for you. Is it so hard to search this forum? :)

Dear GC applicant

First STAY IN SCHOOL !! if you dont complete school you will never get a good job never mind if you have GC or not.

as for your question, yes you need to send everything together with separate checks for all the forms.

my two cents, if you dont want to go through the immigration mess, marry her but apply after two years. Then you will have enough documents together and you will get a permanent GC. Since she is 17 you are asking for trouble unless you have a co-sponsor who meets the 125 % criteria and have a car together and live together with joint A/C, life and health insurance. Getting married is a lot of responsibilities and just for a GC is not worth it.

I am sorry if I am sounding preachy :o but I have seen a lot of people destroy their life just caz they think getting GC will solve everything and drop out of school.

Best of Luck
