I am currently on my 7th year H-1B extension and waiting to finish CP. My case is EB3 and just last week I received the transmittal notice from NVC (I-140 in 06/2004 and instruction packet filed with NVC in 10/2004). The home consulate is Chennai, India. From the discussions on the various threads, it appears Feb/Mar would've been likely for the interview. However, with the PD regress issue looming, I am not sure any more.
My girl friend (an American citizen) and I have been planning to get married for a while and I had been hoping to put the GC process behind me before I plunged into that other lifelong process
.
The question is how would my GC application be affected if I decide to get married here in the US in the next couple of months before getting the interview call from Chennai (or wait forever if PD regresses) ? I am listed as single on all the applications, with no dependents.
much thanks,
skater.
