I'm getting married soon and start my paperwork for my GC. The problem is: I'm divorced and I kept my husband's last name b/c it was just too much work to change all my docs. I would like to keep my name the way it is now, do you think it will be a problem when I apply for my GC??

Thanks for your help!

They might be a little suspicious at the interview, just make sure you have all supporting docs that you're in a real love marriage.

I don’t think you’ll have a problem with it. It’s your legal name, name you had for some time already and it’s your choice whatever or not to change it.
If you came to US with that name and didn’t change it after the divorce back to your maiden name and all your documents are in that name and especially if you had a child(ren) from a previous marriage and your new husband is fine with your choice – then nobody should question your reasons or give you grief about not changing your last name again. Nobody, not even USCIS.
