Getting Married after receiving 1st NL.. Docs to send to KCC

hi there,
my partner (who was selected in 2010 DV..) and I are getting married tomorrow.
He received his NL on 1 May 2009, sent it all back the next day, stating he was single... we have been together 3 years..
anyway, decided to get married, I just want to double check.. I have searched this forum but can't find the answer I need.

Do we just need to resend the DS-230 forms for the 2 of us, updating them to show we are now married.. or do we also have to send the marriage certificate to KCC? I am thinking that we just need to send the forms and then the certificate is just to show at the interview..?

Congrats. Btw. maybe a strange question or maybe not. Are both of you of the opposite sex? This because in Europe same sex marriages are recognized but in the US it doesn't count.

You need to sent as much proof as you have to KCC and call them what else they might need. You probably will get more questions about the marriage at your interview.
 
U dont need to be afraid. The same thiing happened to me. I was single when I won the loterry and when i returned the 2 forms back to them I still filled single. I got married after returning the forms. Immediately after my wedding I re-fill the form DS-230 for myself and my wife and sent it together with my wife passport photograph, and also copy of our wedding certificate to KCC. When I received my 2nd NL, they've included my wife's name on it for the interview. They even told me that had it been they've schedule my interview before I notify them that I can still go to the embassy with my wife and our wedding certificate. Don't send your original marriage certificate to kcc because you will not get it back, just a photocopy will be fine and resubmit the form ds-230.

Bentlebee- we are man/woman.

So my boyfriend who is the winner of the GC - doesn't have to resend the DSP-122 form? just the DS-230?

Hopefully it will all go well today and we can get the info to KCC very soon :)
