Getting AP after two months

I have applied for AP over two months ago (from VC, RD 08-08-2003) and have not got it approved yet. My 140 and 485 are pending (RD 08-08-2003). I need to go out of country by the end of this month and was wondering could I go to local INS office to get AP in person? Please let me know if you know the procedure.

I am on the same boat ; ND -08/07/2003 for AP at VSC first time

NO sign of approval from them ,also opend an inquiry about 3 weeks ago , never heard anything from them...

I asked the same question (you asked here) when i called the Customer service and spoke with the Tier-2 level officer . She said issuing an AP at Local office is not based on a pending AP at service center , rather its at their own decree based on your situation and reasons for travel outside US.

So , you can try at local office but you got to prove that your travel is a must and neccessary and i have seen people got like AP that way...
