Getting Agitated :-(

Two weeks gone by since interview and so far no oath letter. What is the Milwaukee INS doing? I expected to get one by now but so far it has not arrived. California guys are getting it in five days. Can you believe it? FIVE days! And Baltimore guys do the oath same day as interview!

I called the Milwaukee courthouse and they said "We just provide the judge and courtroom and everything else is from INS guys, please talk to them." The courtroom would not even tell me which week a date would set for each month. Does not appear to be a streamlined procedure or have a prefixed date for every month. Beats me on what rules these guys operate. Talked to a guy who did this oath 3 years ago. He had an 8 month gap between oath and interview but he is from Madison. So it does not count as my case.

Try as I might I cannot figure out a web site for Miwaukee Federal courthouse or its scheduling ceremonies. Nothing is available.

I used to get upset but now I am getting agitated. I wanna vote in the upcoming elections! :) I already missed the local city elections 3 days ago!

You might want to wait another week or so, and then go to your local USCIS office to inquire about the oath letter, since it is up to them to schedule your oath date.

WBC,

You just have to be patient. It appears u will get your oath soon. You have already completed your interview in record time, so dont be impatient. Are u getting agitated by waiting 2 weeks for your oath. Remember you are dealing with the INS.

WBC,

The best way to deal with it is to go about your life without thinking about. If you focus on it too much, you become obsessed with it, then it'll agitate you. Is not getting your oath hindering an essential process in your life? if not, why bother ...

Relax. Getting upset and agitated just results in getting gray hair ;)
I noticed my first gray hair during my GC ordeal ;)
Hi JoeF,

A friend of mine, who is a doctor once said that for every person, each part of brain functions based on that person's activities. For some, some part of brain never gets used, as they never use it. So, I am not certain whether getting agitated is good or bad ;):)

What worries me is that, everything came so close and now things are taking time. When they could do all the processing so quickly why cannot they just finish it off? Anyway thanks for the insight. Will keep you informed.
