get interim EAD at Pittsburgh

I have 2 questions:
1. We didn\'t apply for EAD while filling I485 application. Is it possible to apply for EAD directly at Pittsburgh local office?

2. A friend applied EAD based on OPT on May, and is still waiting. Is it possible to get a interim EAD at Pittsburgh local office with notice date

so far

we have heard that only boston gives out interim EAD even if you have not applied for an EAD. You can always try to get an interim EAD.
Generally one can get an interim EAD after 90 days irrespective of whether it is OPT or 485 based.
